Natori « Result #1 on Jul 22, 2006, 10:17am »
Name of character: Natori. Just Natori.
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight, and proud of it!
Height: … *twitch* My… height… is… five foot… three! Don’t say it! I’m just barely shorter then Edward Elric! Shut up! Shut up already!
Weight: 100 lbs.
Choice of clothing: Either a)Military pants and boots (from the black market), and a black shirt, or b) A red coat that is supposed to look like Edward Elric’s (also from the black market) gothic boots, fishnet stockings, miniskirt, and a black shirt.
Reason for actions/motivations: She wants to become a state alchemist because she wants to learn how to bring her dead sister Sayari’s body and soul back from the gate.
Personality: Random. One day, she’ll be hyper. The next, when you walk up to her, she’ll stab you or something. Hyper is a 55% chance, then 30%calm, 10% half awake, 4% not seen all day, 1% death-con.
Skills: Alchemy, gymnastics, kicking.
Weakness: Mentally: Trying to hard and getting mad. She hates to lose. Physically: Blocking. It’s to hard to block when your flipping through the air. Socially: She’s vertically challenged.
Past: At the age of four, Natori and her sister Sayari were orphaned after an alchemy ‘accident’ at her Father Nero’s lab. Her Mother and Father both died, and the two girls were sent to live with her Grandmother Heike. Soon after, she died too. They traveled to many places, to Aunts, Uncles, and even Cousins, all who died. Soon, no one would take them in for fear of dying. They had no one to turn too.
Natori tried her best. She really did. But it was too much, since now she was six, and her sister was two. She finally found a home in Youswell, where she stole and gambled to get food and money. This went on until Natori was ten, and Sayari was six. Sayari died went she fell under a mine cart. Natori was devastated, and ran to East Central. She found herself buying weird clothes from the Black Market. She found an empty apartment over a Bakery and settled in, keeping quiet. She gambled a lot, and she won books, clothes, money, even furniture. The odd part was she never lost. She kept winning, and she got so much stuff, she had to quit playing poker.
At age thirteen, she had read all the alchemy books she had, and she figured she could bring back Sayari’s body. She didn’t even come close. All she got was half of the information, and her left arm ripped off. She grabbed her gambling money and went to Rush Valley to get her arm done. She ended up getting into a game of poker, and lost her right leg. She ended up getting automail for that too, and went home. At age fifteen, she found out from some friends at the Black Market that there was a huge library in Central City that had alchemy books on human transmutation. She packed up all her things and dragged them to Central City, where she set up home over a Toy Store. She now lives there, and she ha to join the Military to get into the library. Plus, it pays.
Enemy of the Elric Brothers?: Not yet…
Enemy of the State Military?: No.
Danger to Civilians?: When she’s pissed…
Extras: Her automail is simply designed. It’s made of titanium alloy. She smokes.
Appearance:
RP example (3rd person, past tense, Para-style. 10 lines minimum):
Natori walked down the street, whistling. Why was she whistling, you ask? She had gotten a brilliant idea. Joining the military seemed easy enough. After all, that Edward Elric kid had joined at age 12 right? Ok, he was a prodigy, but then again, so was she… Right? Ah, who cares? She’d do paperwork, just as long as she could do something so she could get into that flipping state library. She NEEDED that library. It would help her research. Sayari would be home soon. Very soon.
She cut a few corners, and saw what she looking for. The beautiful military base of Central City. Close to home, so immense… She loved it. She would’ve walked up to a wall and kissed it, but she figured people, for some obscure reason, would go insane if she did. So she laid off the kissing and got to the business of walking the four blocks back home. She whistled, and when the crowds cleared a bit, she did a nice roundabout cartwheel. People stared, yes. But then again, who cared? She got enough stares from her automail and miniskirt. She’d live. She did another cartwheel. Today was a good day.

[7/8/06] A New Beginning « Result #3 on Jul 8, 2006, 4:08am »
Inactivity has become a long-term problem. It began for most of us because of school and the end of the year, but once summer began it did not improve. I have been lenient, too lenient I believe and I know that it is my fault that it has come to this, but we do have a rule stating that each member who is currently role-playing must make at least one post a week. Even one post really isn’t enough to keep rolling smoothly, but I understand that the actual life of our role-players come first. I have deleted all user accounts that have not been logged into in the last thirty days and accounts that have not posted at all.
Seeing as we have had numerous people who have not posted for quite some time, how the more active members of this group are having trouble posting due to the lack of areas to post and having to wait for inactive members to pick up the pace, and that the people whose accounts were deleted reopen several characters, I have decided to restart this forum. If you have a character and are currently role-playing and have either contacted me or posted in the last week, don’t worry, your character is safe and you can still play as him or her to your heart’s content.
Now that we do in fact have a few more characters that we are starting with (i.e.: military personnel, more sins, original characters) we won’t all be trapped in one thread with a mass amount of people that we have to wait on to post. The homunculi could be plotting in one thread while the colonel and his men are on a mission in another.
I plan to take the calendar idea into affect. It has worked marvelously in the past and helped organize the threads and role-playing. This means on each new thread that is posted, you will need to post a time that is happening, such as a day, which varies depending on the name of the time line.
For example: If the timeline we are working off is called the beginning, in the title of the thread put in parenthesis (TB 1 morning) or something relatively close to that. It tells us that 1) The thread is taking place on the first day of the beginning of the game and 2) it happens in the morning. This way you can be in multiple threads at the same time to role-play, but your character will be in one place at one time. You can post something happening a day after a thread with your character plotting where your character is actually working out his or her plan at the same time. Just remember to put the day and time each thread is happening and that the past changes the future. Do not play out anything that would contradict itself or cause a conflict in reality.
I will post the new timeline for the new beginning of this board later this morning when I put the finishing touches on the boards and everything. Right now it’s past four AM and I haven’t slept yet so I’m heading out. Just bear with me a little longer and look for any updates.

The Rules **MUST READ THOROUGHLY!** « Result #9 on Aug 23, 2005, 8:26pm »
Everyone wants to have a safe and fun place to RP. Sadly that isn't possible without a few guidelines or rules...
~When making a OOC (out of character) comment, place the comment between parenthesis ((like so))
~Do not make posts within the RP area that are solely OOC. If you need to speak with a member, hold your conversations via PM.
~IMPORTANT!! NO ONE LINERS! They just get annoying, dull and...why even bother?! It's just one line!
~Stay open minded. This board is ALL RoyEd. Yes, there is an age difference, and yes, it is a relationship between two guys, but I have a strong belief that love is a wonderful thing and as long as your feelings for one another you don’t deserve to have anyone keeping you apart. It is my favorite pairing, I am obsessed, and if you don't like it, tough. This was the pairing planned before the board was created and both the Roy role-player and myself have come to a mutual agreement on having the pairing.
~Do not flame or argue with other members. We are all here for one purpose. TO HAVE FUN. We are all fans of FMA and obviously enjoy RPing. Don't attack each other.
~There is a fanart and fanfic section. If either a piece of art is at a level that may not be suitable for a younger audience, please put the rating in the title of the thread.
~As stated on the application, RP will be written third person, past tense, paragraph style. This is the way that most fanfics and stories are written in.
~In the past, I have been part of groups that died quickly. We started threads that were interesting in context, but slowly died when others failed to post. Therefore, to prevent deja vu, there will be a posting rule here. Every RPer must post at least once a week and stay active. If you know ahead of time that you will be away from the board for some time (Ex: vacation, internet loss, etc.) PM one of the admin so we know. You will be excused. Hey! RL comes first!
~When a thread has been happening for 2 pages, PM one of the current RPers in the thread. Chances are that if there are one or two RPers, then there is an event planned. By adding another character, all plans may be foiled. If you are a villain though and the characters are somewhere else besides Resembool, their safehouse, feel free to unleash a surprise attack, stalk, or whatever.
~Don't use smilies within the threads. It disrupts the flow of the story.
~Do not, I repeat DO NOT play god. This includes anything from controlling other characters to things in the environment that would either throw off a thread or change it entirely, especially if you are not in the thread to begin with!!!! That is just...bad... Ask permission from everyone! (Ex: Any natural disaster, fire alarm) You are not god, sorry, but it ain't happening.(One good example that I have is a FB board that I am part of...someone made a character pull a fire alarm and wouldn't stop making ringing posts until my character left his romantic interest...don't get me wrong, a fire alarm would be fine or something along those lines, just don't force others to follow it)
~Original characters must be believable!! If your character is in the state military, he or she MUST be eighteen years old if not older. Edward was the exception and the youngest person to ever join the military. He wasn't even supposed to take the test. Don't rip abilities off of other characters. Your character did not attempt a human transmutation and lost an arm and a leg and can now transmute by clapping, he or she does not snap to create flames, does not create human bombs, etc. Basically if it was already done in the show, it CANNOT be done in an original character's past. It's showing a lack of creativity and... *sighs in annoyance* Damn it... just don't do it, ok? Nothing pisses me off more than a Mary Sue or a Gary Stu, especially when it's based off of Edward or Roy. Preforming a human transmutation and surviving is a miracle in itself!! He's lucky that he only lost a limb and sacrificed his other to save his brother. Just don't do it... God...
~Please... no pairings between an original character and a FMA character. If you must have a pairing, do it with another original character. Seriously... it just ticks me off and drives me crazy when I see an original character hitting on or together with an existing character or visa versa. I actually GAG and it's NOT fun, not at all . ~When speaking to another member, please be courteous and use proper language. Proper as in understandable. You may not speak in shortened forms or words or phrases. They are difficult to understand and take a while to translate. This means talk in ENGLISH. And no, saying things like "omg r u havn fun 2nite?" is NOT acceptable. I don't care how cool you think it looks.
~Do not role-play without having the approval of a character.
~When filling out an application, put the secret sentences somewhere in your post. This is to ensure that the rules were in fact read and that we have a better chance of them being followed. Copy and paste the 'the words of Edward' found at the bottom of this page to somewhere in your app. Also Shiggity. See? What a clever trap…
~There are fanfics and fanart on here, please no flaming. Some artists may like criticism or hints on how to improve on a piece of work. Just don't come straight out and say something like, "You suck!" That is just rude and uncalled for. Besides, everyone has a different technique, not one 'sucks' at anything.
~Some threads may require extra characters to be played out (such as doctors, waitresses, etc) If another character such as this is needed, PM the other person who is currently in the RP with you to discuss who will take what role. This way the thread moves smoothly still and there isn't as much confusion.
~Please do not add pictures in your signature or as your avatar pic that you do not Role-play as. The only reason why anyone should have a picture in their signature is if it is a banner of your character or you play more than one character.
**Put the word Shiggity somewhere in your app to prove that you have read all of the rules.
These rules really are not that difficult to follow, and they are for the well being of everyone around. As long as they are followed, this board should be a safe, fun, and happy place

It's not that hard, this is simply something that you need to fill out before applying for a character. This helps me, the admin, understand that you have a good grasp on the character that you are applying for. The goal here is not only to have one of the best RPs out there, but also to have as much fun as possible.
Just copy and paste these questions, then start a new thread under this board with your answers. Don't forget to read the rules thoroughly and to put the name of the character you are applying for as the subject.
Name:
Age:
Character Applying for:
Why should I choose you? (Please be thorough in your answer. Don't just say, "Because I do a good job at role-playing ______. Be specific):
What is your take on the character? What is the personality like and how will you portray it?:
What are your times of availability (And what time zone)? How often can you RP per week?:
What is your favorite thing about FMA?:
What is your least favorite thing?:
If selected, is there anyway to contact you to plan the RP? (MSN, AIM, gmail...):
What is one rule that we have in your own words?
Lastly, give a ten line (MINIMUM!) sample paragraph at how you would RP this character. Please make it in third person, story style.:
